Academic Advising

Opportunity Starts Here

Effective academic planning and course selection are critical factors leading to student success. Therefore, students that have less than 13 credits are required to meet with Academic Advisor to discuss their Program of Study and plan their semester courses. No appointment necessary. A valid photo ID is required.

Waitlists: If a course you need to register for is full, you may select to waitlist for the section. If a seat becomes available, the system will generate a email that will be sent to your @buccaneer.atlantic.edu account.  You will have 24 hours to claim the seat from the time of receipt of the email. Please check your email often if you waitlist for a course.

Overload Authorization List: If a course you need to register for is full and the waitlist period is over, then you can request an overload permission from an instructor or dean.  Please click here to find the instructor.

Students are highly encouraged to meet with their program Faculty Advisors. You can contact your Faculty Advisors via email or call Academic Affairs at (609) 343-4909. An assistant will help you choose a faculty advisor that best matches your needs.  Faculty maintain office hour schedules on their office doors, for your convenience.
