Technical Studies, Associate in Applied Science
This program is designed for individuals who possess a license or certificate from an accredited program in a health care field, which would include pharmacy technician, licensed practical nurse, dental assistant, paramedic or a hospital-based program such as nursing diploma, radiology, respiratory and surgical technician.
To be accepted into the program, the candidate must present proof of completion of an accredited program and have received a license, diploma or certification from that program. (Students must have their Technical Core credits approved before they can matriculate in this degree.) The option consists of 20 General Education course credits, 20 to 25 Technical Core credits transferred in from the American Council of Education (ACE) or other similar service, 17 program course credits and 2 to 8 Free Elective credits, depending on the amount of Technical Core credits.
