I am Dean of Instruction at Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays
Landing, New Jersey. My special area of interest is nineteenth century
America,
especially the Civil War. I teach survey courses in US History,
Western
Civilization and Introduction to the Arts and Humanities.
My undergraduate degree is from Gettysburg College and my Master's degree is from Rutgers University. My Doctorate is from Rowan University and I have also attended William Paterson University.
I am particularly interested in United States history. The Civil War is a good example of a page on the net that I return to regularly.
OTHER WEB PAGES
As a historian, people are always asking me "Why study History?" Here's a web site that explains the discipline. Another good resource is The History Net. Check it out.
I also recommend HistoryChannel.com for updated information on current issues in history.
Another interest that I have is baseball, especially the New York Yankees. Try The Yankees to get the latest scoop on the Bronx Bombers.
"The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli. Used with permission of Nicholas Pioch, WebMuseum, Paris. |
I also teach Western Civilization and Introduction to the Humanities. In this course I rely on visual presentations with an emphasis on art. One site I use is Art Museums as a typical Internet resource. |
