Community Involvement

Hospitality Management students are often asked to represent the college at local industry events. These events provide students with the opportunities to apply educational theory to current industry practices. Some of the significant events where students and faculty donated their time and talents are:

  • Annual Beaujolais Nouveau Tasting, sponsored by Chaine des Rotisseurs
  • Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala
  • New Jersey Governor's Conference on Tourism
  • Annual East Coast Gaming Conference
  • Annual Atlantic City Host Awards and Spririt of Hospitality Awards
  • International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show

Additionally students are required to complete a Volunteer Service Learning  experience  as part of their curriculum. Sites include:

  • Community Food Bank of New Jersey--Southern Branch
  • American Red Cross
  • Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center
  • Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation
  • Seashore Gardens Living Center
  • CapeAtlantic Youth Partnership
