Thank you for your support on Giving Tuesday

MAYS LANDING — Thanks to another tremendous outpouring of selfless giving and philanthropy this holiday season, Atlantic Cape Community College and the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation shattered its goal of $15,000 by more than doubling that amount with an astounding $30,878 raised during GivingTuesday on November 28.

Created in 2012 as a day to encourage individuals across the globe to do good, GivingTuesday is an annual international effort that has raised billions of dollars worldwide. The funds raised this year will go towards helping provide critically-needed financial support to Atlantic Cape students in need. Donors could choose where they wanted their donations to be allocated to, such as towards Atlantic Cape’s proposed baseball field improvements, the campus food pantry, the general scholarship fund or to the area with the greatest financial need.

"Many thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters. We have not only met, but doubled our GivingTuesday goal and raised almost $31,000! All the donations speak to the unwavering commitment of our very generous community of giving from alumni, faculty, administration, staff and College Board of Trustees and Foundation Board of Trustees,” said Atlantic Cape Foundation Executive Director Jean McAlister. “We are also incredibly grateful to an anonymous donor for their $10,000 matching donation. With these increased contributions, we are poised to make an even greater impact and opportunity for all students at Atlantic Cape."

Since 2016, Atlantic Cape has raised $74,487.67 on GivingTuesday to help students attending the college receive scholarships and emergency funds to assist in paying for tuition, fees, supplies and even housing and food.

The Atlantic Cape Foundation raises funds for college scholarships, capital for campus improvements, and support for cultural and educational community outreach programs. In its history, the Foundation has raised more than $6 million for college scholarships, academic programs and campus enhancements.
