Upcoming Events at Atlantic Cape Community College

Atlantic Cape Community College is hosting the following events during the month of February:

Feb. 6, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.: African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey, Inc. presents “A Time for Change: Civil Rights in New Jersey,” hosted by Student Activities in honor of Black History Month, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., in the Student Center lobby of the Mays Landing Campus.

Feb. 6, 12:30 p.m.: Artist lecture with Treacy Ziegler on her exhibit “Inside Out,” featured at Atlantic Cape’s art gallery, at 12:30 p.m. in the art gallery located in D Building of the Mays Landing Campus. The exhibit showcases her works as well as works by four prisoners from her prison workshops.

Feb. 14, 12:30-2 p.m.: Free hands-on FAFSA session for help completing a 2018-19 Free Application for Federal Student Aid, 12:30-2 p.m., at the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus. Registration is required, and students may register and obtain more information by calling 609-343-4822 or by sending an email to dhernand@atlantic.edu.

Feb. 19, 10 a.m.-noon: Academy of Culinary Arts open house from 10 a.m.-noon in M Building of the Academy of Culinary Arts at the Mays Landing Campus. Register online at http://www.atlantic.edu/aca/visit.htm.

Feb. 20, 12:30-1:30 p.m.: The Twin Poets presents “Our Words Matter” Spoken Word Poetry, hosted by Student Activities in honor of Black History Month, 12:30-1:30 p.m., in the Walter Edge Theater of the Mays Landing Campus.

Feb. 27, 12:30-1:30 p.m.: Growing Up in the Other Atlantic City with author and Atlantic Cape adjunct instructor Turiya Abdur Raheem, hosted by Student Activities in honor of Black History Month, 12:30-1:30 p.m., in the Walter Edge Theater of the Mays Landing Campus. 

The Mays Landing Campus is located at 5100 Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing; the Cape May County Campus is located at 341 Court House-South Dennis Road in Cape May Court House; and the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus is located at 1535 Bacharach Blvd. in Atlantic City.
