Assistant Director, Admissions

Duties: Reports to the Director of Admissions & College Recruitment; schedules, coordinates, directs and
supervises Admissions staff s and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Admissions Office at all college sites; initiates the hiring process and training of clerical staff and makes recommendations to the Director on hiring; serves as an Atlantic Cape Designated School Official (DSO) for the Student & Exchange Visitor System (SEVIS) and as the primary college contact for prospective international students; responsible
for obtaining all required admission documentation and admitting International students, credit and non-
credit; submits all student information into SEVIS; issues the appropriate I-20 and acceptance materials; tracks and reports to the US Immigration & Customs Enforcement all issues regarding student status according to Federal rules and regulations; keeps current with all federally-issued updates and changes to student visa rules and regulations as they apply to non-immigrant student visas to maintain and ensure college compliance; provides guidance to staff on admitting students in various immigration statuses; utilizes Ellucian Colleague to create and manage Admissions communications initiatives; works with ITS to check student accounts and WebAdvisor user names for accuracy before being assigned; reviews and makes recommendations on all Admissions publications, updates web pages for the department to ensure accuracy and consistency, and maintains inventory of office forms, making updates as necessary; reviews and makes
recommendations on the input of Admissions data in the student management system; processes online applications for admission; coordinates the use and maintenance of the Image Now scanning system; serves as the admissions liaison with area high schools for all cooperative agreements (Dual Credit and Articulation Agreements); attends college recruitment and community outreach events; other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:Bachelorís degree. High level of management and organizational skills. Previous supervision of a
professional staff. Strong computer and reporting skills. Knowledge of college admissions policies and
procedures, writing skills and an in-depth knowledge of international student admissions practices. Experience using Ellucian Colleague or similar management information system.
 Note: This position may require flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
