Senior Research Technician, Institutional Research

||Reports to the Assistant Dean, Institutional Research and Assessment; supports the Collegeís institutional research and assessment activities; uses the Internet, library and printed material to collect data; maintains institutional data warehouse for research, assessment, and reporting; accesses data from various sources; manipulates raw data into meaningful statistics for a wide range of users; performs sophisticated statistical analysis including descriptive analysis, regression and factor analysis; creates systematic processes in support of on-going data programs and develops relational databases to store and access research and assessment data; acts as liaison between Research and Assessment and other college departments for data needs and database access; assists in the development of survey instruments and assessment tools, including Web-based applications; supports database management efforts using the institutional relational database; assists members of the college community with basic information requests; represents the College when needed on statewide projects or affinity groups; serves on college committees; other related duties as assigned.
|Minimum Requirements:||Bachelorís degree. Strong database management experience, communication and analytical skills. Microsoft Office products. Basic understanding of statistical software such as SPSS and/or SAS; education student information system(s); and report writing software such as SAP Business Objects. Willingness to learn new computer software and systems as required. |
