The Dean of Enrollment and College Relations position serves as the Chief Enrollment Management Officer for the college providing strategic and operational leadership as well as oversight to all enrollment management functions for credit and non-credit instruction including recruitment, admissions, financial aid, testing and college relations/marketing/public relations and communications.

Provides leadership in meeting the college’s enrollment goals by collaborating with the leadership team, in particular partnering with Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Institutional Research, and Finance to ensure integration of demographics, student demand, college-wide priorities and financial planning. Provides strategic oversight for college marketing in support of the office of Advancement.

Works with the college community at-large in the creation, implementation and assessment of best-practice initiatives, strategies and plans. In addition, links Enrollment Management practices with specific student success initiatives and retention strategies.

Duties: Reports to the President and provides leadership in the development of innovative policy, procedure, programs and systems in support of areas supervised; primary operations responsibility for all enrollment management aspects of the college’s recruitment and admissions efforts and initiatives integrating marketing, recruitment, prospect outreach and follow up, application processing , placement testing and financial aid processing and counseling and, in the case of select programs, application review for credit and continuing education/noncredit/workforce development courses and programs; provides leadership to college relations including communication distribution channels, college website, marketing, public information and social media development and review including the development and employment of Web-based strategies leveraging social networking and on-line marketing applications; in collaboration with the Chief Student Affairs Officer and the Chief Academic Affairs Officer, responsible for the integration of enrollment management with academic affairs and student success/retention initiatives, engaging both faculty and staff in those efforts; provides active involvement in partnership programs between the college, local high schools, business & industry partners, select community-based organizations and area social services agencies in areas such as dual enrollment, continuing education enrollment processes, and career and transfer pathways; in collaboration with the department of institutional research and planning, develops, implements and monitors outcomes assessment of enrollment management strategies, analyzing data and writing reports to guide future action; co-chairs the college’s Enrollment Management – Student Success Initiatives Cross Functional Team with the Dean of Students; serves as college liaison to the Superintendant of Schools Roundtable for both Atlantic and Cape May Counties; represents the college administration at community and college affairs, establishing effective relationships with community leaders as appropriate; models and implements effective management strategies with employees in such areas as on-going professional development, mentoring and customer service awareness; develops implements and monitors a complex division budget in concert with the college’s strategic plan and with other members of the president’s senior staff; provides leadership in the identification and recommendation of new and emerging technologies as well as relevant applications of present MIS system in support of enrollment management and college relations; leads in the development of a climate that promotes and supports innovation and improved services to students and the community; collaborates on college-wide institutional effectiveness programs; ensures all departments act in compliance with FERPA, Title IX, Title IV, Clery Act, Americans with Disabilities Act and other federal and state regulations; serves as an internal resource to members of the college on matters related to enrollment management and college relations.

Minimum Requirements:Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services, Business Administration, including Marketing majors, Higher Education Leadership, or related field. Doctorate degree preferred. Five years of progressively responsible leadership in strategic enrollment management in higher education, preferably in a community college setting, with five years of supervisory experience. Proven leadership experience in enrollment management for credit and non-credit programs and courses and college marketing initiatives. Demonstrated ability to engage staff to build on past successes while fostering change. Demonstrated commitment to continuous and synergistic improvement of enrollment management. Knowledge of theories and organizational systems and their contribution to success. Demonstrated ability to develop measurable outcomes and assessments strategies to formulate data-driven decisions. Knowledge of public sector/higher education federal and state regulations and compliance. Demonstrated experience in planning and monitoring budgets. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external populations. Experience working with college marketing initiatives preferred. Strong organization and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build consensus in a service-oriented environment.
 Note: This position may require flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
