Financial Aid Specialist

||Reports to the Director of Financial Aid; assists current and prospective students with the delivery of financial aid award eligibility, verification requirements, budget components, entrance and exit interviews, and application process; performs dependency overrides; certifies federal and private education loans; conducts presentations on or off campus regarding financial aid and processes for online applications; performs electronic processing and ad hoc reporting; draws down electronic mail from processor; imports and exports federal and state data; assists culinary arts students and coordinates efforts with ACA Department; authorizing awards and student loan programs; assists with Scholarship Program; assists with Scholarship Reception; assists with Veterans Affairs; performs clerical duties and serves as office receptionist when needed; other duties as assigned.
|Minimum Requirements:||Associateís degree. Bachelorís degree preferred. Strong customer service skills and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population. Financial Aid experience including knowledge of financial aid regulations and programs. Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office products and Financial Aid information systems. Knowledge of Ellucianís Colleague information system preferred. |
