The Cape May County Campus will host the 2nd Free Environmental Speaker Series Presentation on Thursday, December 5th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The topic will be "Coastal Resiliency: Challenges and Opportunities."

The speaker will be Junetta Nowell Dix, Director, Environmental Services, ACT Engineers, Inc. Ms. Dix has 30 years of experience as an environmental consulting manager. She is an expert in field studies; wetland delineation and mitigation; environmental impact assessments; and threatened and endangered species’ habitat surveys. She has a Masters of Environmental Management with a concentration in Natural Resource Ecology from Duke University. In this presentation, Ms. Dix will speak about projects such as the Shooting Island Invertebrate Habitat Breakwater in Ocean City, Cape May County. This is the longest living shoreline in New Jersey history, completed in spring 2019.

Free and open to the public. Students are especially encouraged to attend.
