Culinary Arts Training Program
Inaugural program in our new state-of-the-art culinary kitchen 5 at our Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd.
Prerequisite: Candidates must obtain a reading score of 9 and math score of 9 on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).
This career preparation program offers hands-on courses that focus on the mastery of cooking principles and practical techniques. It will also prepare you for the National Restaurant Association Foodservice Sanitation Certificate. Upon successful completion of the exam, students receive a nationally recognized certification in sanitation. This exam is given during the program. Topics and skills taught cover the many areas of the professional kitchen. Learn how to prepare both professional and gourmet dishes. Learn the basics of baking and pastry. This five-month program will help you to identify your area of specialty. Many opportunities exist locally for employment in the culinary industry. Earn a possible nine college credits for this program.
