Baking and Pastry Training Program
Inaugural program in our new state-of-the-art culinary kitchen 5 at our Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd.
Prerequisite: Candidates must obtain a reading score of 9 and math score of 9 on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).
This career preparation program offers hands-on courses in the fundamentals of baking and pastry. It will also prepare you for the National Restaurant Association Foodservice Sanitation Certificate. Upon successful completion of the exam, students receive a nationally recognized certification in sanitation. This exam is given during the program. Topics covered will include equipment use and safety, proper work methods, culinary math, bread baking, cake baking and decorating, pies and cookies, custards, puddings and mousses, and more. This program will allow students who want to specialize in baking and pastry to obtain the skills they need in a hands-on environment to be able to work in almost any bakeshop.

Optional Co-Op Experience: 200 hours, $175 (Financial Aid Pending)
