NEW! IPv6 Fundamentals
Prerequisite: Minimum one year experience in the IT field.
This course is designed for network engineers and technicians supporting IPv4 environments. Students will learn how to write and decode IPv6 addresses along with designing IPv6-based networks. In addition, students will examine the new streamlined IPv6 packet header, how Neighbor Discovery works with ICMP, and how to manage address assignment with managed and unmanaged network environments. Students will also learn how to design and optimize CIDR-based IPv6 networks to improve routing performance. Students will work with the latest equipment to support these environments, including Windows 7 and Cisco-based routers.
