Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Prerequisite: A+ Certification or equivalent knowledge; Net+ Certification or equivalent knowledge is strongly recommended. Candidates must obtain a reading score of 10.9 and math score of 10.9 on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE). TABE test may be waived for students possessing a college degree.
The CCNA curriculum prepares students for certifications in Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Students will learn how to install, configure, operate and troubleshoot small- and medium-sized networks, including security concerns. In addition, this course provides the skills necessary to successfully deploy an IP-enabled network using Cisco switches and routers and dynamic routing protocols such as EIGRP and OSPF. Finally, this course will introduce students to IPv6 and will provide them with the information necessary to perform IPv6 network designs, routing and security.
