Business Technology Specialist

Prerequisite: Candidates must obtain a reading score of 9 and math score of 9 on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).

Learn the skills and develop the confidence needed to work in today’s high-tech office. You will learn document production, word processing, spreadsheet preparation, database creation and management, and effective use of presentation software. Grammar and proofreading skills, organizing an electronic calendar and designing professional charts are also included in the program. Upon successful completion, you will receive up to nine college credits toward an Atlantic Cape degree. You can become certified in Microsoft Word 2010, Excel 2010 or Access 2010. Cost for one exam and practice test is included in fee.

Instruction will include the following courses: Intro to the PC, Windows and Internet, Document Production, Word 2010, Excel 2010, Access 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Outlook 2010, Office Collaboration and Microsoft Office Integration, Web Research, Google Docs, Ethics and Basic Mapping.
