You may experience “culture shock” after you arrive here. After
all, coming from a familiar environment to a foreign country is not only
exciting; it can be challenging. Culture shock includes the normal feelings
of being helpless or frustrated in a country where you don’t speak
the language or understand the culture. These feelings are temporary and
diminish over time.
At ACCC, we work with you to make the transition easier. Our international student advisors and the International Club are two places where you can seek assistance. Remember that you are not the only one experiencing culture shock—and we will help you to get through it.
