Bruce R. Johns

A.A.S., Academy of Culinary Arts
Chef Johns began his culinary career with Resorts International in 1983, then enrolled in the Academy to earn his degree. During his period as a student, Chef Johns expanded his professional experience by working in various restaurants in southern New Jersey. With degree in hand, he opened a restaurant called Our Place Too and wore both the hat of the owner and the toque of the chef. He has been with the Academy since 1994.
Honors and affiliations:
ACF Certified Culinary Educator, Member, American Culinary Federation; coach of the Academy's student team at the annual New York Food Show since 1994 (his team was awarded the Gold Medal in 1997 and 2000).
