Description: Parking Decal Procedures


I. GENERAL
A. All students (including credit, non-credit and workshops) shall be assessed a parking permit fee at time of registration. Those students not requiring usage of the college parking facilities shall be entitled to a refund.

B. Faculty, adjuncts, staff and Alternative High School students shall be exempt from paying a parking permit fee, but are required to have a parking decal.

C. It shall be the responsibility of the Business Office to collect all parking permit fees and to indicate that said fee has been paid.

D. It shall be the responsibility of the Security Department to issue all parking decals and to enforce the usage of said decals.

E. Full and part time employees and adjuncts shall receive staff decals at no charge.

F. Alumni Association members shall be issued a separate and distinct decal which shall provide lifetime parking privileges.

II. ISSUANCE OF DECALS/PERMITS
A. WORKSHOPS

  1. Each individual registering for a workshop at any campus location will be issued a temporary parking pass. The pass shall be the back of the registration confirmation, in the form of a postcard. The pass will contain the name of the student, workshop number, workshop title, day/time, start date, end date, location and room number.

B. NON-CREDIT

  1. Each non-credit student shall present a copy of their completed gold colored registration form to the Security Department. The Security officer shall issue a temporary parking pass which shall indicate the class name, expiration date, student name, vehicle type and license plate number. the officer shall stamp the students gold colored registration form as "PAID", dated and initialed.
  2. If the completed gold registration form has "WAIVED" written on it with the cashiers signature, a parking pass shall not be issued.
  3. Any student which can not produce their completed gold registration form at the Security office shall be looked up in the computer. If they have paid their permit fee, Security shall issue a decal.

C. CREDIT

  1. Each student shall present a copy of their completed gold colored registration form to the Security Department. The Security officer shall issue a single parking decal to the student and stamp their registration form as "PAID", dated and initialed.
  2. If the student chooses to waive their right to using the college parking facilities, the cashier shall initial the completed gold registration from and stamp it "WAIVED". The student will not be issued a parking decal.
  3. Any student which can not produce their completed gold registration form at the Security office shall be looked up in the computer. If they have paid their permit fee, Security shall issue a decal.

III. REPLACEMENTS/MULTIPLE DECALS
A. Any student requesting additional decals (more than one) shall make payment to the Business Office for each decal requested. The Business Office shall issue a receipt for payment to be presented at the Security Office. Security shall issue the indicated number of decals. Additional decals may be purchased at a cost of reduced cost per decal.

B. Any individual requiring a decal replacement due to damage, new vehicle or other reasons, must provide proof of vehicle purchase, damage repair of old damaged decal to receive a free replacement. Security shall issue them a Temporary Parking Pass for the balance of the annual term a no charge.

C. Any individual loosing their decal shall be required to purchase another decal for the balance of the annual term via the procedure outlined in Section III, Paragraph 1, at a reduced cost per decal.

IV. VISITOR PARKING
A. Single visitors shall be provided "VISITOR PARKING" spaces throughout the campuses. SPACES THROUGHOUT THE CAMPUS.

B. Individuals responsible for the scheduling of group visitors shall inform the Security Office as to the date and time of the event, along

with the number of attending persons. Security shall provide the requestor with temporary parking passes for the attenders. It shall be the responsibility of the requestor to distribute the temporary passes to visitors.
