Description: Sick Leave
The college provides sick leave so that employees will not face loss of pay during a period of illness.
In case of extended illness, earned vacation time may, at the employee's option, be used to extend sick leave coverage. Unused sick leave, however, may not be converted to over-extend vacation leave.
General holidays observed by the college and occurring during an employees's absence because of illness will not be computed as working days against that leave. However, if the college were to close due to an emergency, employee's would not be reimbursed for leave time taken.
