The Long-Range Planning Committee of the Board of Trustees will be responsible for recommending names for buildings, rooms, or roads for approval by the Board.
Annually, at the December meeting of the Board, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees shall charge the Long-Range Planning Committee with the task of calling for the names of anyone who has had a direct relationship and impact on the development of Atlantic Cape Community College for the purpose of naming a building, or portion thereof, in their honor.
The committee may solicit the names of anyone, living or dead, who had a positive effect on the College. Suggested sources might include: The ACCC Foundation, ACCCent, ACCCNews and a news release to local newspapers.
The committee will advise the Board Secretary of their selections so that a formal resolution can be submitted to the Board for adoption.
Commemorative plaques shall be placed appropriately in the area designated by the Board in honor of specific persons.
