Atlantic Cape Plans Community Day; Celebrates 5-Year Anniversary of CMCC Oct. 13

Atlantic Cape Community College invites the college community and Cape May County residents to a Community Day to celebrate the five-year anniversary of the opening of the Cape May County Campus, 2-6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13, at CMCC, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House.
Community Day events include campus tours, student musicians, refreshments, a larger than life anniversary card for guests to sign, a chance to meet the campus Dean, a live radio broadcast, and the opportunity to visit a class in session.
Information about Atlantic Cape’s programs and services will be on display, including: the Academy of Culinary Arts, admissions, Technical Studies Institute, continuing education, Health Professions Institute, student services, athletics, student government and student clubs, conferencing and meeting services, alumni association, campus library, Rutgers at Atlantic Cape, Fairleigh Dickinson “Burgundy-Blue” Agreement with Atlantic Cape, and the Atlantic Cape Foundation.
Since opening its doors in 2005, the Cape May County Campus has experienced a 40-percent growth in credit enrollment; educated nearly 30 percent of all graduating Cape May County high school seniors; provided customized training to more than 40 area businesses; and played host to more than 100 public and private events.
The three-story, nearly 68,000-square-foot facility features a brick façade and two wings that house an information commons. The campus provides support services facilities, including counseling, testing, tutoring and financial aid offices as well as administrative offices.
