Casino Career Institute Offers New Fall Classes; Fall Open House Scheduled for Sept. 16

The Casino Career Institute at Atlantic Cape Community College has prepared more than 50,000 people for rewarding careers in gaming and continues to offer top-notch training for those who wish to enter the expanding casino profession. New gaming classes are forming now at the CCI, including:
Electronic Equipment Technician, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, starting Sept. 7, offers training to begin a career as a slot technician, arcade technician or vending technician. Students will learn to install, repair, service or calibrate games and machines.
Certified Gaming Supervisor, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, starting Oct. 18, and 5:30-9:30 p.m., beginning Nov. 1, provides the skills necessary for new gaming industry supervisors, or for those interested in advancing in the gaming industry.
Networking Level I, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, starting January 2011, learn the concepts of basic networking, explore cabling concepts and implement networking models and applications.
The CCI also provides training for table games and non-dealing casino professions such as Slot Technician and Surveillance Training. Learn how to launch a career in the gaming industry at the Fall Open House, 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 16, at the CCI, 1535 Bacharach Blvd., Atlantic City. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet faculty and staff, participate in hands-on demonstrations, and receive information about gaming careers. To reserve a seat, call (609) 343-5600.
