Atlantic Cape Offers New Green Building Courses for Fall

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer an expanded number of green-themed workshops during the fall semester, ideal for architects, builders, realtors and homeowners.
Green Building for Existing Homes, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25, learn how to apply green building practices in existing homes by using a whole-house integrated design approach. Learn how to access and prioritize green upgrades based on safety, cost and increased efficiency.
Envelope Professional Certification, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, beginning Nov. 15, provides building analyst professionals with a specialized skill set to estimate the cost savings of weatherization improvements. This course empowers accredited contractors to guide homeowners in energy efficiency retrofitting.
The Green Education Institute offers a variety of green building courses during the fall semester, including: Green Building Today, LEED for Green Associate PLUS, LEED v3 for New Construction, Core & Shell, K-12 Schools, Building Analyst Certification, Residential Energy Audits, In-Home Energy Survey Professional, Home Solar 101 and Home Wind Energy 101.
Courses take place at the Mays Landing Campus and Mays Landing East, 5100 Black Horse Pike; the Institute for Service Excellence in the Hamilton Mall, 4403 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing; the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road; or online.
