Compete in $1 Million Hole-In-One Shoot-out at Atlantic Cape Golf Tournament
September 1, 2010
The 2010 Atlantic Cape Community College Scramble ‘Fore’ Scholarships golf tournament will feature a $1 million hole-in-one shoot-out, Friday, Oct. 15, at the Cape May National Golf Club in Cape May.
The tournament will follow a scramble format with a shotgun-start at 11 a.m. After the scramble portion is complete, five qualifying golfers will advance to the shootout for their chance to win a $1 million annuity.
Partnering with the Atlantic Cape Foundation, CMNGC will host the annual tournament to raise scholarship money and commemorate the 5-year anniversary of the college’s Cape May County Campus.
Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City will cater the awards dinner, 5:30-8:30 p.m., hosted by the Chalfonte Hotel in Cape May. Dessert will be prepared by students at Atlantic Cape’s Academy of Culinary Arts. The awards dinner will also serve as the capstone event of a week-long celebration of the 5-year anniversary of CMCC.
Player fees, which include gift bags, lunch and a dinner awards banquet, are $125 per person and $500 per foursome.
Individuals and businesses can also participate in six sponsorship package opportunities ranging from $100 to $5,000. Last year’s event raised $29,000 for Atlantic Cape scholarships.
Founded in 1978 as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation is dedicated to serving the mission of Atlantic Cape by providing financial support to the college and its students. In its history, the Foundation has raised more than $2 million for college scholarships, academic programs and enhancing the campus environment.
