Fall into these Tasty Autumn Cooking Classes

The Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College is featuring a smorgasbord of new culinary workshops this fall.
The flavorful fun gets underway on Wednesday, Sept. 9, with BBQ & Grilling Techniques, a celebration of the waning warm weather with tasty, healthy fish, meats and Jersey fresh veggies prepared on the grill.
Up next on Wednesday, Sept. 23, is Pizza with Pizzazz with new-fangled ways to whip up this old favorite, including topped with grilled sirloin and caramelized onions, figs, arugula and fontina cheese.
Get Comfortable with One Pot Comfort Foods Meals on Tuesday, Sept. 29, featuring such classics as Coq au Vin, Beef Bourgonione and Crab and Corn Chowder.
Appetizers and Apertifs are on the menu on Wednesday, Oct. 7, which will include a recipe for the classic Italian beverage, limoncello.
The Halloween Harvest Party on Wednesday, Oct. 21, will feature such ghoulish goodies as apples, butternut squash, pumpkin and spook-tacular desserts.
Not Leftovers Again! on Tuesday, Oct. 27, shows creative ways to stretch meals with chicken, grilled steak and turkey.
Get Off the Couch Potato on Tuesday, Nov. 10, includes tips to prepare healthy alternatives to the same old spuds with Risotto-Style Butternut Squash, Parsnip Puree and more.
It's all about Master Sauces on Wednesday, Nov. 11, with easy techniques for preparing Mornay, Béarnaise, Marinara, Crème Anglaise and more.
Desserts International on Wednesday, Nov. 25, includes sweet treats from Italy, France, Germany and other countries.
Feast of the Seven Fishes on Tuesday, Dec. 8, explores the traditional Sicilian holiday celebration with Pasta and Clam Sauce, Shrimp Fra Diavlo and Scungilli.
All classes take place 6-9 p.m. The fee is $65 per workshop except for the Feast of the Seven Fishes, which is $75.
