Academy of Culinary Arts Announces Fall Open House Dates

The Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College will host several open houses this fall, including: 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 4; 9 a.m., Friday, Oct. 23; 9 a.m., Friday, Nov. 13; and 6 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9. The open house events are open to anyone who loves to cook and is interested in beginning a culinary career.
The Academy of Culinary Arts offers associate degree programs in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, and Food Service Management. Students also can complete any of four short-term specializations in less than one year in Baking and Pastry, Hot Food, Catering and Food Service Management.
The ACA opened in 1981 to meet the growing needs of the hospitality industry. Full-time classes at the Academy meet five hours a day, Monday through Friday, in morning, afternoon or evening sessions from August through December and January through May. Part-time evening classes also are available.
Because the ACA is a division of a public institution, tuition is considerably less than comparable private culinary schools. Full and partial scholarships, work‑study opportunities and financial aid are available, including free tuition and fees through NJ STARS.
