ACCC Has Exciting New Continuing Education Classes for Summer

May 28, 2009

Soak up some knowledge this summer with new Continuing Education classes at Atlantic Cape Community College.

Certified nurse aides can now expand their career horizons with the Certified Home Health Aide for CNAs. Upon successful completion of the 10-hour program, which has ongoing enrollment, students are eligible to apply for certification.

Also new is Certified Nurse Aide Recertification, for those who wish to renew their Certified Nurse Aide in Long Term Care certification. Enrollment is ongoing.

For those trying to successfully ride out the current economic storm, ACCC is offering two timely stock market and investment workshops. The seminar "Preparing for the Unpredictable: The Benefits of Diversification," 6-8 p.m., Monday, July 20, explores how to diversify an investment portfolio to get the most bang for the buck. Up next is "Navigating Stormy Seas: How to Handle Volatile Markets," 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 28. This workshop covers ways to put market volatility into perspective, and reviews potentially attractive aspects of the current market.

Personal enrichment classes include "Got An Idea? Develop Your Invention!" 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5. This fun, informative class shows would-be inventors how to patent their ideas, with tips on ways to safeguard your idea and how to profit from an invention.

Classes are at the Health Professions Institute at the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd.; the Institute for Service Excellence at the Hamilton Mall, Mays Landing; or the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House.
