ACCC Offering Two New Fiber Optics Courses in June

For the first time, Atlantic Cape Community College will offer courses in fiber optics, during the summer session of the continuing education program.
Up first is the Certified Fiber Optics Technician Course, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday June 1, through Wednesday, June 3. This three-day introductory course is for those interested in becoming a Certified Fiber Optics Technician. The program combines theory with hands-on activities to prepare students to take the COFT test, sanctioned by the Fiber Optics Association.
The second course is Certified Fiber Optics Specialist in Testing and Maintenance 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, June 4, and Friday, June 5. This 16-hour program is designed to offer advanced training to those involved with the testing and maintenance of fiber optic networks.
Both courses are being held at the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike.
