Last Chance for Tickets to 'A Taste of Paradise'; March 12 ACCC Restaurant Gala Moves to Bally's
March 4, 2009
Time is running out to buy tickets to South Jersey's premier black-tie fundraising event. The Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala's 26th annual dining extravaganza is planned for Thursday, March 12, at Bally's Atlantic City Hotel and Casino. With the theme "A Taste of Paradise," the 2009 Gala will feature an exotic, tropical atmosphere.
The annual event celebrates food with hors d'oeuvres prepared by students at the Academy of Culinary Arts and the house specialties of 40 of the area's best restaurants at a progressive dining experience. Each year, hundreds of food lovers attend the Gala, which also features several genres of live music, including Cheers the Band, George D., The Jim Craine Trio, Lenny Mitchell and the Dan Franta Trio.
An elegant dessert reception, headed by Master Pastry Chef Eugen Ess of Trump Taj Mahal, and a chance to win beautiful jewelry through Tiffany and Co.'s "Pearls for a Cause" will complete the night's events.
The Gala has raised nearly $2 million since 1984. Gala proceeds benefit student scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts at ACCC.
Tickets to the Gala cost $200 per person and can be ordered by calling (609) 343-5674 or online at www.atlantic.edu/gala.
