Nearly 40 Restaurants to Participate in March 12 Restaurant Gala

The Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala's 26th annual dining extravaganza will feature fine food from nearly 40 of the region's best restaurants. New ventures like Chelsea Prime, Il Mulino and McCormick & Schmick's will join old favorites like Ram's Head Inn and Steve and Cookie's By the Bay at the March 12 event at Bally's Atlantic City Hotel and Casino. With the theme "A Taste of Paradise," the 2009 Gala will feature an exotic, tropical atmosphere.

The annual event celebrates food with hors d'oeuvres prepared by students at the Academy of Culinary Arts and the house specialties of area restaurants at a progressive dining experience. An elegant dessert reception, headed by Master Pastry Chef Eugen Ess of Trump Taj Mahal, will complete the night's events.

Participating restaurants include: Atlantic City Country Club, Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort-Patsy's Italian Restaurant, Bally's Atlantic City, Berkshire Grill, Bobby Dee's Rock'n Chair, Buddakan, Caesars Atlantic City, Carmine's, Chelsea Prime, The Continental, Domenico's, Gallagher's Steakhouse, Girasole, Harrah's Atlantic City, Il Mulino, Johnny's Café, Linwood Country Club, Mama Mia's Ristorante & Catering, Manna, McCormick & Schmick's and Morton's-The Steakhouse.

Also featured are: The Palm Restaurant, Phillips Seafood, Ram's Head Inn, Renault Resorts, Resorts Atlantic City-Capriccio Restaurant, Scannicchio's and Scannicchio's II, Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel, Showboat Atlantic City, The Smithville Inn, Sofia, Steve and Cookie's By the Bay, Teplitzky's, Tropicana Casino Resort, Trump Entertainment Resorts, Tuckahoe Inn and Vince's Restaurant.

The Gala has raised nearly $2 million since 1984 for student scholarships at the Academy of Culinary Arts at ACCC. Tickets to the Gala cost $200 per person and can be ordered by calling (609) 343-5674 or online at
