Dec. 3 & 4 Open Houses to Aid Unemployed, Underemployed

Atlantic Cape Community College will host open houses at its three campuses next month specifically for local residents who are unemployed, facing seasonal or long-term layoffs, or work part time while seeking full-time employment. The events will offer information on college training programs and courses for new or updated career opportunities.
Open houses will be held 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd., and the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, and 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, in J-Building.
Participants will be able to apply for admission and financial aid, receive information on college services and programs, and meet with faculty and staff. Programs include Culinary Arts, Allied Health, Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Business, Hospitality Management and Paralegal Studies.
Additionally, a representative from the Atlantic and Cape May County One Stop Career Centers will be available to provide information on educational classes, GED testing, job search activities, job training activities, public assistance and a variety of other services to help improve job-related skills. Those who are unemployed, recently laid off, underemployed (still working) or a young adult ages 14 to 21, may be eligible for these free services and programs.
