ACCC Adds New Career Training Courses

Atlantic Community College is offering new Career Training options to help people acquire the skills needed to embark on a different vocation.
Students can pursue a career in the booming hospitality industry with the Hotel Services Program, beginning in October at the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus. Practical experience in an area hotel will teach participants about casino hotel, time-share and non-casino hotel operations.
Bookkeeping with Computer Applications, beginning in November at Mays Landing East, teaches basic accounting skills, word processing and computer bookkeeping using Excel and QuickBooks.
Also new is Network Administration, in which students learn how to design, implement and troubleshoot complex networks, starting in October at Mays Landing East.
Attendees can earn Server Administration certification for problem-solving in Windows 2008 with the new Microsoft Certified IT Professional, starting in November at Mays Landing East.
The Cisco Certified Network Associate course, beginning in February 2009 at Mays Landing East, prepares students for certification as a Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician and Cisco Certified Network Associate.
Students who wish to acquire new career skills from the comfort and convenience of their homes can opt for the new Study at Home Series-to debut in spring 2009-with the Office Applications Professional Course. The course covers Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint to prepare students for careers in today's high-tech offices.
