Date Change for 'Entertaining Light' Series for Home Chefs

Home chefs can experience and create samples of eclectic appetizers and culturally inspired entertainment fare sure to please guests at their next event through the Academy of Culinary Arts' upcoming "Entertaining Light" workshops. Participants can register for workshops individually for $65 each or for the entire seven-workshop series for $395. Please note, the start date for the workshop series is Wednesday, Oct. 15. The hands-on workshops, offered through the Continuing Education department at Atlantic Cape Community, include:
§ Tapas-Learn how to make the delightful small-plate appetizers that portray the vibrant foods and cultures of Spain, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 6-9 p.m.
§ Mediterranean-Create the light, healthy and colorful foods inspired by the traditions found in the countries around the Mediterranean Sea. Wednesday, TBA, 6-9 p.m.
§ Dim Sum-Practice making a range of light dishes commonly found in Chinese eateries for your next affair, Wednesday, TBA, 6-9 p.m.
§ Tex-Mex-Learn how to prepare a variety of tasteful palette pleasers inspired by Mexico and the Southwest, Wednesday, TBA, 6-9 p.m.
§ California Spa-Wow your guests with this simple, elegant and nutritious spa cuisine for easy entertaining, Wednesday, TBA, 6-9 p.m.
§ Bed & Breakfast/Afternoon Tea-Learn how to prepare and present a traditional afternoon tea with recipes from B&Bs around the country, Wednesday, TBA, 6-9 p.m.
§ Southern-Heat up your next affair with these Cajun and Creole recipes that embody the classic friendly style of the South, Wednesday, TBA, 6-9 p.m.
Academy chefs teach all workshops in the school's training kitchens at ACCC, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing.
