ACCC Offering New Credit Courses for Fall

Atlantic Cape Community College will offer a variety of new classes during the fall 2008 semester. The classes will be held at the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, or online.
Programming in Oracle SQL teaches Structured Query Language using Oracle databases and techniques. Computer Programming-Visual BasicNET covers fundamental programming concepts for students with no previous programming experience. Introduction to Computer Forensics focuses on collecting and analyzing digital evidence.
Among the many English classes is 20th Century African-American Literature. The Shakespeare course focuses on the bard's major plays and sonnets. Math offerings include Linear Algebra. There's also Discrete Mathematics, covering concepts and techniques fundamental to mathematics and computer science. Conceptual Physics centers on Newton's laws, motion, energy and more. Computer Applications for Small Business explains the use of PC applications for small companies.
The new Radio Broadcasting course introduces the students to all aspects of radio station operation, including Internet-based radio programming.
Online classes include Web Graphics and Animation, which shows techniques for Internet design. The brand new Environmental Sociology: Nature, Culture and Society course explores historical, cross-cultural and contemporary beliefs and practices of people in relation to their environments.
Fall classes begin Tuesday, Sept. 2. Students can register in-person weekdays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. now through Friday, Aug. 29, with extended hours 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 27; Monday, July 7; and Monday through Thursday, August 25-28.
Or register by fax, mail or online through Monday, Sept. 1. Students must have a PIN to register online. New students must apply for admission prior to registering for classes.
