Register Now for Fall Classes at the Academy of Culinary Arts

If you've always loved to cook or are ready to make a career change, now is the time to register for the fall semester at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College. The Academy is accepting applications for fall classes, which begin Wednesday, Aug. 27, at the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike.

The ACA offers two-year degree programs in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management and Baking and Pastry. Full-time classes meet five hours a day, Monday through Friday, in a morning or afternoon session from August through December and January to May. A new evening "After Dark" session from 5-10 p.m. has been added, ideal for career changers or those who wish to work while going to school. Full-time students not pursuing a degree can complete the requirements for a culinary certificate in three semesters. Part-time classes are available.

The ACA also offers four short-term specialization programs. Baking and Pastry, Hot Food, Catering and Food Service Management certificates can be earned in just nine months-an ideal situation for industry professionals who want to strengthen their skills or for food enthusiasts interested in satisfying their culinary curiosity.

The Academy offers personalized, high-quality training at a low cost. The price of the program is considerably lower than that of comparable cooking schools. Financial aid, grants, scholarships and loans are also available.
