Administrative Professionals Event at ACCC April 23, 5:30 p.m.

Atlantic Cape Community College will observe Administrative Professionals Week with an event sponsored by Administrative Office Procedures students in the Office Systems Technology program. The evening is co-sponsored by the FAA Technical Center's Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. The event will be held from 5:30-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, in the cafeteria at ACCC's Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike.

The evening will include exhibits, refreshments, door prizes and a lecture at
6 p.m., titled "Your Small Business is an Option," presented by Otto Hernandez, computer information systems chair and professor at ACCC.

Administrative professionals are handling a wider variety of duties in management and technology for businesses, corporations, government and public and private organizations. ACCC offers an associate in applied science degree in Office Systems Technology, as well as a new Computing for Small Business Degree Option; plus professional series certificate programs including: Bilingual Office Specialist, Computing for Small Business Specialist, Desktop Publishing Specialist, Educational Office Specialist, Hospitality Office Specialist, Legal Office Specialist, Medical Office Specialist, Microsoft Office Specialist, Multimedia Specialist, Office Automation Specialist, Office Professional Specialist, Office Receptionist Specialist and Records and Information Management.
