Philadanco! Leaps onto ACCC Stage April 15

Philadelphia Dance Company's Philadanco! will perform at Atlantic Cape Community College, 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, in the Walter Edge Theater on the Mays Landing Campus. The event is free and open to the community, school children and dance enthusiasts in Atlantic County. ACCC's Community Affairs Program and Diversity and Equity Committee of the Board of Trustees, in conjunction with Access to Art, Inc. of Cape May County, will present the lecture/demonstration.
The event will include an introduction to the dance and choreography of Philadanco!, as well as explanations about modern, jazz dance, ballet and Afro-inspired movement for which the company is acclaimed. This is a unique opportunity for area school and dance groups as well as teachers and other dance aficionados to see the renowned dance company on stage.
Philadanco! performs across the world to rave reviews and sells out at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, where it is in residence. The company has performed at the Kennedy Center, the Joyce Theatre in New York, Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Travis Center in West Palm Beach and across three continents and often performs with the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Philadanco! will perform for Access to Art, Inc., at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center, 4l7 E. Pacific Ave., Cape May Court House, at 7:30 p.m. on May l7. Tickets to that performance are $25 and $30 and may be obtained by calling (609) 463-l924 from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
