ACCC Offers Spring Health Professions Classes

You can launch an exciting career in the medical field or learn life-saving techniques at Atlantic Cape Community College's Health Professions Institute.
Those who wish to brush up on their lifesaving skills can obtain CPR Recertification on Saturday, April 5, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., or Tuesday, June 10, 5-9 p.m. You can receive training in Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid on Saturday, May 3, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Study to be a Registered Central Service Technician in just 15 weeks beginning Tuesday, May 13. The course meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m., and focuses on the principles of cleaning and processing medical equipment, packaging, storage, maintenance and other skills required to obtain certification.
Learn the skills required to obtain blood samples from patients in Phlebotomy beginning Monday, June 16. The class meets Mondays and Wednesdays, 5-9 p.m. and enables you to sit for the National Healthcare Association certification exam.
One way to launch a career in the health field is with Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training, an ongoing course that starts monthly. The 90-hour program is approved by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.
