Enrollment Growth Continues

Enrollments at Atlantic Cape Community College are continuing an upward trend, with the highest spring semester enrollment ever.
According to enrollment records, credits taken for spring 2008 totaled 65,264, an increase of 5.09 percent over spring 2007. A total of 6,574 students are registered this spring, compared to 6,482 last spring-a 1.42 percent increase.
Enrollment in the Mays Landing Campus rose to 39,175 credits from 38,989 in 2007 for an increase of less than 1 percent.
Credits taken at the Cape May County Campus were up 12.53 percent with 8,117 credits taken for 2008, up from 7,213 in 2007. Student enrollment rose 4.46 percent to 1,030 from last spring's 986.
The number of students enrolled at the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus is up 16.11 percent to 1,103 from 950, with credits taken up to 7,536 from 6,368 for an 18.34 percent increase.
There was a 9.46 percent increase in credits taken for the online courses to 10,436 from 9,534, with head count rising 7.05 percent to 2,126 from 1,986. Online offerings have been growing steadily since fall 1997 when the college offered six online classes. This spring, the college offered 164 Internet-based sections of 93 different courses.
ACCC includes the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic City Campus, 1535 Bacharach Blvd., and the Cape May County Campus, 341 Court House-South Dennis Rd., Cape May Court House.
