Golf Tournament Raises More Than $23,000 for ACCC Students

October 11, 2007

The 2007 Cape May County Championship Golf Tournament "Scramble Fore Scholarships" raised more than $23,000 for student aid at Atlantic Cape Community College. Held Oct. 5 at Cape May National Golf Club in Cape May, the tournament drew more than 60 players.

Proceeds from the event will be used for scholarships for Cape May County students attending ACCC and grants-in-aid for nursing students. The tournament's presenting sponsor was Newfield National Bank.

Founded in 1978 as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation is dedicated to serving the mission of ACCC by providing financial support to the college and its students. In its history, the Foundation has raised more than $2 million for college scholarships, academic programs and enhancing the campus environment.

The ACCC Foundation is a registered Public Employees Charitable Campaign agency for donor designation purposes.  The Foundation relies on the generosity of its individual donors, college alumni, corporate and business partners, and planned gifts to continue its charitable work.
