ACCC to Hold Office Professionals Open House Oct. 25

Atlantic Cape Community College will hold an open house for those interested in learning about educational and professional opportunities in office systems technology on Thursday, Oct. 25, 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the Mays Landing Campus in Room B-136. "Setting the Standards of Excellence" will be shared by the FAA Technical Center's Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals.
ACCC offers online courses, certificate programs and an associate degree in office systems technology to help meet the demand for qualified and capable workers to fill thousands of corporate and government openings for administrative office professionals. A new small business option to ACCC's office systems technology program will begin in spring 2008.
The office systems technology program is offered on a full- or part-time basis, with classes available online and in person. The program provides the necessary training for graduates to work in an administrative office environment, including business, government or nonprofit organizations. Specifically, the coursework includes keyboarding, word processing, computer technology and applications, desktop publishing, computing for small business, multimedia applications, administrative management, records and information management, effective communications and human relations.
