September 21, 2007
Players can still register for the 2007 Cape May County Championship Golf Tournament "Scramble Fore Scholarships," planned for Friday, Oct. 5, by calling (609) 343-5674. Cape May National Golf Club in Cape May will host the tournament, which raises scholarship funds for the Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation. Last year's event raised $22,000 for ACCC scholarships.
The tournament will follow a scramble format, beginning with a shotgun-start at 12:30 p.m. Player fees, which include an event windbreaker, lunch and a dinner awards banquet, are $125 per person. This year's tournament will feature a variety of skills competitions. Players will also have the opportunity to win a new car or $25,000 cash in the Hole-in-One contest. Newfield National Bank is the presenting sponsor.
