Gina Skinner Appointed to Regional Council
September 12, 2007Gina Skinner, director of admissions and college recruitment at Atlantic Cape Community College, was appointed to the College Board Middle States Regional Council for a term that runs through February 2010. Skinner is one of two community college members of this council.
As a council member, Skinner will serve as a communication link between the College Board and the regional member institutions it serves. She will also advise the Middle States Regional Office on the program offerings of the College Board.
The College Board is a not-for-profit membership association whose mission is to connect students to college success and opportunity. Founded in 1900, the association is composed of more than 4,700 schools, colleges, universities and other educational organizations. Each year, the College Board serves more than 3.5 million students and their parents, 23,000 high schools, and 3,500 colleges through major programs and services in college admissions, guidance, assessment, financial aid, enrollment, and teaching and learning.
The Atlantic City resident earned her master's degree in business administration at Rowan University, holds a bachelor's degree from Thomas Edison State College and an associate degree from ACCC. She has served many roles since joining ACCC in 1977 as a senior clerk, including assistant for academic support and publications, adjunct instructor and director of marketing and development.
