‘Building Strong Communities' Conference May 4

The Atlantic Cape Safe Youth Partnership, a collaborative project of Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and Atlantic Cape Community College, will host a one-day conference, The Road to Collaboration: Keys to Building Strong Communities, Friday, May 4.

The conference will provide valuable information on the economic state of the region, volunteerism, the role of community foundations and sustaining partnerships. It will be held 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., at Stockton's Carnegie Library Center, 35 S. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Atlantic City and includes continental breakfast, lunch and materials.

Topics include:

·         Address on the state of the region and how economics affects our community work and programs

·         Grants overview and benefits of community foundations - local impact

·         Volunteerism - Finding, maintaining, making best use of volunteers

·         Sustaining your program: what constitutes success?

The event is free to ACSYP partnership members. Cost for the conference is just $20 for all other community agencies, non-profits or faith-based organizations.
