Academy Students to Prepare Cinco de Mayo Dinner
April 12, 2007The student-chefs at the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College will prepare a five-course Mexican feast honoring the Cinco de Mayo tradition. The dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, at Careme's, ACCC's gourmet restaurant, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing.
The menu features a selection of appetizers including Masa Boats, Garlic Cumin Chicken Wings and Nachos; Corn Chowder with Chicken; Shrimp and Sea Bass Ceviche; choice of three entrees: Chicken Tamales, Grilled Shrimp, or Beef Tacos with Mexican Rice and Refried Beans; and Three Milk Cake topped with Mangos.
The evening will also include live entertainment and "fiesta-style" group seating.
The all-inclusive meal costs $35 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Culinary Student Association and the Latin Experience Club. For reservations, call Careme's Restaurant at (609) 343-4940.
