Atlantic Cape Offers Associate Degree in Communication with Five Specializations
January 10, 2017
Atlantic Cape Community College offers an associate degree in Communication for those interested in pursuing a career in such areas as television, radio, film, public relations, magazines, advertising, newspapers and new media. Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions in these fields or for transfer to a four-year college or university.
Students take 15 general education courses, two program courses (one in mass media and one in public relations) and five more courses in one specialization within Communication. Students may choose a track in Communication Arts, Creative Writing, Journalism, Public Relations or Radio/Television/Film. Each track offers specialized courses that allow students to develop expertise in that area.
Students develop strong writing, speaking and analytical skills and consequently gain confidence in their overall communication abilities. In addition, students learn to apply the public relations process to planning, research, writing and analysis and ultimately learn to craft effective messages. For more program details, contact Dr. Augustine Nigro at 609-343-5022 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
