January 9, 2017
This spring, Atlantic Cape Community College will offer introductory and intermediate workshops in WordPress, the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system that exists today. Participants will learn how to create their own websites for their business, hobby or workplace.
Introduction to WordPress will explore the power and ease of using WordPress which powers 27 percent of all websites from hobby blogs to the largest news sites. Workshop topics will include website design and development basics, blogging, themes, content, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and branding. Introduction to WordPress will meet 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, Feb. 6 – March 13, on the Mays Landing campus, located at 5100 Black Horse Pike.
In Intermediate WordPress, participants will learn how to create great sites by exploring the finer points of themes, plug-ins, customization and more. It is highly recommended for students to have previous experience with WordPress or to have taken Introduction to WordPress. This workshop will meet 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, March 28 – April 18, on the Mays Landing campus.
These workshops are offered through the college’s Workforce Development program which provides a broad range of workshops, seminars, and career training programs to the residents and businesses of Atlantic and Cape May counties.
