Art Gallery Exhibit Features Drawings by Absegami High School Students
January 2, 2007
Atlantic Cape Community College's Art Gallery will feature an exhibit of drawings by 23 Absegami High School art students. The exhibit runs through Jan. 26, with a reception to meet the artists from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 14. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Titled "Taking Root," the exhibit is the result of a four-week drawing workshop with Cheryl Crews, a studio arts instructor at ACCC, in cooperation with Absegami High School art instructor Maureen Sullivan. Students used charcoal and pastels to create their artwork, which was based on nature and its inherent design components.
The ACCC Art Gallery is on the Mays Landing Campus, 5100 Black Horse Pike, adjacent to the theater in C-building (C-125). Visitors use parking lot 3.
Hours of exhibition can be obtained by calling the ACCC Art Gallery Information Line, (609) 343-5040.
