ACCC Wins Two Jasper Awards for Campus Opening, Restaurant Gala Work
September 27, 2006Atlantic Cape Community College recently received two Jasper Awards from the Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association for its work on two major events. ACCC’s college relations department was recognized Sept. 15 with a Gold Jasper for its public relations work on the 23rd Annual Press of Atlantic City Restaurant Gala in the “Special Event Planning/Special Event Series” category. The department also received a Silver Jasper for its work planning and promoting the Cape May County Campus Grand Opening in the “Special Event Planning/Community Event” category.
Members of ACCC’s College Relations staff, who worked on the projects are: Stacey Clapp, public relations specialist, of Galloway; Kathleen J. Corbalis, executive director of college relations, of Glassboro; Donna Leeds, graphic artist, of Milmay; Kathy McGowan, manager of publications/public relations, of Absecon; Geoffrey Pettifer, director of college marketing, of Galloway; and Anna Simmons, office coordinator, of Hamilton Township.
The Jersey Shore Public Relations & Advertising Association was founded in 1965. In 1974, it established the Jasper Awards to honor excellence in New Jersey’s public relations, marketing, advertising, design and communications industry. Since then, the organization has dedicated itself to the professional growth and development of members, and to establishing the highest standards of excellence in communications in central New Jersey and throughout the state.
